Deleting your account
Last updated 30 October 2026
Draft. This page is a plain-language draft and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It will be updated before Hushloft accepts real payments.
You can delete your account yourself at any time in Settings → Account. You’ll be asked to confirm, because it can’t be undone.
What happens, in order
- If you have Hushloft Plus, it is cancelled immediately, so you’re never charged again, and your saved card is removed from Stripe.
- If cancelling fails for any reason, nothing is deleted and you’re asked to try again.
- Then your account and everything in it are deleted: profile, preferences, notes, tasks, goals, study history, achievements, rooms you created, memberships, blocks and reports.
What may remain
- Encrypted backups kept by our database host for a limited time before they are overwritten.
- Payment records (invoices and receipts) that Stripe must keep by law. These don’t include your study data.
- Short-lived security logs and anonymous page-view statistics.
The current period of a cancelled subscription isn’t refunded automatically; see the Refund Policy. Questions: the support address (not set yet; see the Contact page).
